SpeshMedia App Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This policy applies to SpeshTV for Android mobile, Android TV, Roku, and Windows (the “apps”), provided by Jason Rodriguez, operating as SpeshMedia (“we,” “us,” or “our”), and to the SpeshTV download and privacy pages at apps.oriemplx.cc and privacy.oriemplx.cc. Features differ by platform and build.

1. About the apps
Our apps are media clients that connect to servers you choose and are authorized to access. They are derived from the Moonfin open-source project. SpeshMedia is responsible for these apps; Moonfin's developers are not their operator or privacy contact.
The apps do not create a separate SpeshMedia account for you. Your account, media library, and server records are managed by the operator of the server you connect to. That operator may be SpeshMedia or an independent server operator.
2. Information SpeshMedia collects
The apps primarily process information on your device and communicate with the media server you choose. We do not collect payment, billing, or subscription information through these apps. We do not use app information for marketing, advertising, tracking, product analytics, or profiling, and we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Depending on the platform, build, settings, and connected server, the apps may use the following services:
- Push notifications: Mobile builds can use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. The app can obtain a push token and register that token, platform, and device identifier with the connected server plugin. Google processes information needed to deliver notifications under its own privacy practices. Notification permission controls display of notifications; it does not necessarily stop every operation of the messaging service.
- Diagnostics: The app may capture crash reports locally. If crash report uploads are enabled and the connected server supports receiving them, reports may be sent to that server. Reports can include technical information and logs. The server operator controls information received and its retention.
- External content and integrations: Embedded YouTube content, external links, casting, and other integrations may contact the service you use. Those services can receive connection information such as your IP address and apply their own privacy practices. Builds with Discord announcement features can send information through configured Discord integrations when used.
- Update checks: Update behavior varies by build and distribution channel. Some inherited update paths use GitHub; the SpeshTV Windows fork disables the upstream in-app updater. Downloading from this website does not enable automatic updates.
These features do not mean the apps use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics. The presence of Firebase messaging is separate from analytics or crash-reporting products.
3. Information on your device and connected server
To function as media clients, the apps process information on your device and communicate with the server you select. Depending on the app and features you use, this can include:
- Server addresses, account identifiers, and authentication tokens used to connect and maintain your session.
- Display, playback, and other preferences.
- Cached artwork, media details, and downloaded files.
- Searches, playback requests, viewing progress, favorites, and other actions sent to your connected server.
- Device and session details needed by your server to provide playback and account access.
Your server operator may receive and store information about your account and activity under its own privacy practices. If you connect to a server operated by SpeshMedia, that operator receives the information sent to that server. This policy does not promise that all app network traffic is limited to your media server; the services described above may also be contacted.
4. Permissions and cookies
Available features may use device permissions, such as access to your local network for discovery and casting, microphone access for voice search, or access to files you select. You can manage permissions in your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.
Where voice search is available, speech recognition is handled by your device's recognition service. That service's processing depends on your device and its settings.
Local app or browser storage may be used to remember connections and preferences. The SpeshTV download and privacy pages do not set cookies, use analytics scripts, or embed third-party content. Embedded services used inside an app may have their own cookies or storage practices.
When you visit the download or privacy website, the web server necessarily processes your IP address, requested URL, and connection information to serve the page or file. Server logging depends on the hosting configuration; this policy does not promise that website access information is never recorded.
5. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on where information is stored. Local app information is controlled by your device; information received by your connected server is controlled by its operator; information processed by an external service is subject to that service's practices. No fixed deletion period is promised for server logs or provider records.
Information saved locally remains under your device's controls. You can manage local app data, browser storage, and downloaded files through available app and device settings. Uninstalling an app may not remove files saved outside its private storage or copies in device backups.
The server you connect to determines its own retention and deletion practices. To delete a server account, viewing history, or other server records, contact that server's operator. Removing an app does not delete your server account or information stored on the server.
6. Security
Your connected server's operator is responsible for the server's security, account access, connection configuration, and information stored there. SpeshMedia does not operate or secure independently operated servers.
Information stored on your device is subject to your device's security and operating system protections. The protection of information in transit depends on the connection you configure: HTTPS encrypts the connection, while HTTP does not. Use a server and connection you trust.
7. Children's information
The apps are not designed to solicit children's personal information. Access to accounts and media, including any parental controls, is managed through the connected server and device settings. The device, server, notification, and external-service processing described above can also apply when a child uses the apps.
8. Privacy questions
For questions about this policy, contact privacy@oriemplx.cc or write to Jason Rodriguez, SpeshMedia, PO Box 245, Brooklyn, NY 11221, United States.
If you email us, we necessarily receive the address and information you include in your message. This is separate from information handled during app use. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, or sensitive server records.
Questions or requests concerning information stored by your connected server should be directed to its operator.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our apps or privacy practices change. The revised policy will show an updated effective date. We will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
